Stefano Pioli’s managerial record against Sampdoria – Milan win would tilt the scale

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Sampdoria at San Siro early tomorrow and after the win against Fiorentina, they will be hoping to add another three points to their tally, with the Scudetto race not over yet.

Stefano Pioli’s men bounced back from two consecutive wins by sending a strong signal at Artemio Franci, turning a deficit into a win in one half. Although they conceded twice, they looked much better overall and we also got to see Ismael Bennacer back.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the manager has faced Sampdoria on 18 occasions in his career and has five wins, eight draws and five defeats. A decent record considering the teams he has coached in the past, but tomorrow a win is the only option.

It would tilt the scale in his favour, while it would put the Rossoneri in a good position for the following and last nine games of the season. Without a doubt, they need all the points they can get from here on.
