Suitors eagerly await outcome of Donnarumma contract situation

By SempreMilan -

Gigio’s contract renewal has stalled for quite some time because of differences between the demands of agent Mino Raiola and Milan’s offer.

Milan have offered the player a deal worth €4.5m a year and see him as a main pillar of the new ‘Chinese Milan’, according to Sky Italia. They also have promised the player that the club will return to being competitive again and have shown that by already completing the signings of Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessié, and Ricardo Rodríguez. Mino Raiola still wants an emergency way out by demanding a exit clause in the players contract, however, Milan do not want to add an exit clause as they want Donnarumma to stay at the club long term.

The disagreement between the two parties has not gone unnoticed amongst his many suitors around Europe. La Repubblica reports Real Madrid are willing to offer Milan €60m to sign the player. Madrid are looking to tempt the player and the club in order to make Donnarumma their future number 1.

Sky reports that PSG are also interested in the keeper and have apparently handed the player a blank cheque for Donnarumma to name his salary. The French club want to unite the keeper with fellow Italian international Marco Verratti.

Donnarumma seems to want to remain at the club he has supported since he was a little boy but with his agent playing hard ball, there may be a chance Milan have to sell the player. Raiola is a family friend so it would be difficult for the player to fire his agent. More will be clear on June 12 to 13 as Milan are expecting an answer from the keeper by then.
