Reports have surfaced that Milan have relaunched contacts with Lazio for Keita Balde. Per ‘TuttoMercatoWeb’, Milan have re-entered negotiations for the long-time target, offering cash along with technical counterparts, Niang, and one of Gabriel Paletta or Gustavo Gomez.
The report also points out that while the Milan players said to be involved in the deal are not yet convinced by the prospect of making the switch, Milan do intend to continue their pursuit.
Keita, 22, has been at the centre of one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas. The Senegalese Int’l has aimed for a move away from the Biancoceleste for roughly 2 years, making his intentions clear on multiple occasions.
While an agreement had been reached between Milan and Lazio for the player, earlier in the summer, the winger was reportedly not sold on a move to the San Siro, preferring a move to rivals Juventus instead. And with Juventus unwilling to match Lazio’s asking price, Keita remains a top target for several European sides, with his future seemingly unclear.
