Tuttosport: Agent probes pay rise as value of star has more than doubled – Milan’s stance

By Isak Möller -

Milan have made some very impressive signings in the last few years, such as Ismael Bennacer and Simon Kjaer, but one has perhaps stood out and that is the signing of Theo Hernandez.

The French full-back almost instantly became a success for the Rossoneri, even when they struggled under Marco Giampaolo, and the best part if Paolo Maldini paid just €20m for him. Certainly, it’s a sale that Real Madrid regret.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Hernandez is now worth at least €50mand Real Madrid even tried to bring the player back in the past. Unsurprisingly, though, they weren’t successful and it’s clear that the left-back’s future is at Milan.

His contract will expire in 2024 and therefore, there isn’t a rush to sit down and negotiate a new deal. Having said that, it shouldn’t be ruled out that his agent Manuel García Quilón could be at Casa Milan in the coming months to discuss the matter.

Considering how he has performed, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get a pay rise although Milan’s stance is clear for the time being: there is no need to rush.
