Tuttosport: Milan player ratings from win over Monza – Calabria, Maldini the high scorers

By Isak Möller -

Milan continued their pre-season with a 4-1 win over Monza last night, scoring two goals in each half. The game, which perhaps wasn’t the best quality-wise, offered some unusual goalscorers including Daniel Maldini.

In addition to the attacking midfielder, Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu and Lorenzo Colombo also got on the scoresheet. The scoreline was convincing, in other words, but there are still many things to work on for Stefano Pioli.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), rating all the players, Calabria and Maldini were the high scorers with 7/10. The right-back put in an ‘excellent performance’ while the youngster ‘scored his first goal at San Siro’.

Kalulu, Ismael Bennacer and Colombo also did well, receiving a rating of 6.5 by the newspaper. Meanwhile, Gabriele Bellodi, Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Tommaso Pobega, Samu Castillejo, Diego Laxalt, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brahim Diaz had to settle for 6.

Antonio Donnarumma, Emil Roback and Lucas Paqueta were disappointing and only managed to collect a 5.5. The worst, however, was Leo Duarte with a rating of 5, which you can certainly understand.
