As Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to leave AC Milan at the end of the season, by the looks of it, the Rossoneri are in the market for at least one striker. The strategy is clear: young players will be signed this summer.
Earlier today, the Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport stated that Milan are interested in Jonathan David, who plays for the Belgian side Gent. This season, the Canadian international has bagged an impressive 18 goals, in addition to 8 assists.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that he has attracted the interest of several big clubs. According to the same outlet (via Calciomercato.com), Inter and Napoli were the first Italian teams to take an interest in the 18-year-old.
It remains to be seen if all three will battle it out this summer, though it’s certainly a realistic outcome. The Rossoneri seem to have a clear advantage as the new project will focus a lot on youngsters, guaranteeing whoever arrives a fair chance to play.
