Tuttosport: Optimism filters from Milanello ahead of Milan-Lazio – decisive tests for duo today

Milan will play their last game of 2020 this evening, taking on Lazio at the San Siro in the 14th round of Serie A. Currently one point ahead of Inter in the standings, they will be looking to preserve their lead at the top.

It will be a complicated game for the Rossoneri, as the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Simon Kjaer, Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessie and Matteo Gabbia will miss the game. In addition to them, Ante Rebic and Sandro Tonali could also miss out.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), after yesterday’s training at Milanello, there was cautious optimism about the duo’s recovery for tonight’s match. The final decision, though, will be taken during the session this morning.

For Stefano Pioli, it’s essential to have Tonali back, above all, as Rade Krunic currently is the only midfielder available. There is confidence from the Rossoneri, but it’s still a race against time to recover both Tonali and Rebic.
