Watch: From textbook defending to a bursting run – Dalot’s assist for Leao was wonderful

Milan came away with all three points against Parma last night despite going down to ten men with more than 30 minutes to go. Rafael Leao sealed the deal in stoppage time and he has his compatriot Diogo Dalot to thank. 

The Portuguese full-back, who is on a dry loan from Man Utd, came on in the 72nd minute as Stefano Pioli decided to deploy a five-man backline. He barely put a foot wrong and earned a rating of 7/10 in our player ratings.

He crowned his performance with some textbook defending late on, before setting off on a bursting run to open the space for Leao. He squared it to the latter and Milan thus restored their two-goal cushion. Take a look at the goal below.
