Bacca’s agent: “Napoli wanted Carlos, but he was happy to stay at AC Milan”

By Isak Möller -

Carlos Bacca has had a very good week: scorer of 16 Serie A goals last season, the Colombian striker netted a brilliant hat-trick against Torino in Milan’s Matchday 1 victory.

To think that he could have moved this summer, with the Rossoneri agreeing to send the former Sevilla man to West Ham.

His agent, Sergio Barila, confirmed to Radio CRC that other clubs were after him, too.

“Bacca? Napoli and other clubs were interested, but he’s happy at Milan.”

“Bacca is in good shape. He never had any problems with Sinisa Mihajlovic, even though he immediately got on well with Coach Vincenzo Montella.”

“I can’t say that Carlos was close to Napoli during the window, these things should be asked to the clubs directly. I can say that Napoli and other clubs were interested. There was contact, but nothing tangible, because Carlos was happy to remain at Milan, and proved it in Matchday 1.”
