Fiorentina could decide to sell AC Milan target Milan Badelj in the January transfer window.
The Croatian midfielder is a long time target of the Rossoneri and their manager Vincenzo Montella, who signed the talented midfielder from Hamburger SV during his time as Fiorentina boss.
AC Milan tried to sign Badelj last summer but their financial crisis due to takeover talks with a Chinese consortium prevented them from making a fair offer to Fiorentina.
The Croat, however, is set to leave Fiorentina at the end of his contract in 2018. The player’s agent is not on good terms with the Franchi outfit and is not going to agree on a new deal with La Viola, forcing the club to sell the player in the future, to eliminate the risk of losing him for free.
Badelj has been struggling with game time so far this season, as Paulo Sosa usually plays former Aston Villa man Carlos Sanchez and Matias Vecino over the Croatian midfielder who is on Fiorentina’s list of departures.
La Viola’s Director of Sport Pantaleo Corvino is open to a sale of the player, but would not accept anything less than 15 million euros.
