CM: Milan clubs set to enter a bidding war for Pastore

By SempreMilan -

Javier Pastore, once illuminating the pitch for Paris Saint-Germain, has found himself struggling to find playing time, stoking the interest of both Milan clubs as they seek to reinforce their respective midfields.

According to Calciomercato.com, however, Internazionale have rejected Paris Saint-Germain’s rumoured price tag of €30-40 million. With proposal for João Mário to head the other way, the Nerazzurri have even more reason to not follow up on their interest in the Argentine midfielder.

With their rivals out of the race for Pastore, Milan appear to be in running to sign the veteran player. The main concern for Milan at this stage, other than the hefty price, would be the midfielder’s lengthy injury history. Pastore missed one month — five matches in total, earlier this year with a calf injury.

With Milan already having an injury-prone veteran Argentine midfielder in their squad, it remains to see whether they will pounce on the opportunity to land Javier Pastore.
