CorSera: AC Milan set to meet Bonucci to discuss wages

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have met with the agent of Leonardo Bonucci to discuss his contract situation, according to the latest reports.

The online version of Corriere della Sera reports that Alessandro Lucci, agent of Leonardo Bonucci, is in Milan to meet with club representatives.

The issue is that Bonucci has a very high salary request (€10million per season with bonuses), and although the defender does not intent to settle for any less, there will be discussions about how to try and rectify the situation.

Bonucci did recently seem to quash rumours about an exit when speaking to Sky Sport Italia:  “There is no problem whatsoever [at Milan]. I hope these rumours will be put to bed so we can build something important.

“We’re aiming to return to the Champions League and to compete for big objectives.”
