GdS: Eleven can leave Milan as Allegri prepares squad purge – the latest

There needs to be a reset at AC Milan this summer, and Massimiliano Allegri is committed to ensuring that happens. 

Funds need to be raised for the mercato, of course. However, Milan also need to lessen the dead weight in the squad, of which there is a lot. In fact, as Gazzetta dello Sport write, via Milan Press, a full XI can be made from those set to depart.

Milan departure XI: Vasquez; Emerson Royal, Thiaw, Theo Hernandez; Musah, Adli, Bennacer, Pobega; Okafor, Colombo, Morata.

Of course, there may be some that do not leave this summer, but the club are planning to properly reset and purge those who will not feature next season for the Rossoneri. It is not an easy task, but a few exits could already be in the works.

How Milan are faring

The report from Gazzetta details the situations of a few players, starting with Noah Okafor, who is subject to interest from Werder Bremen in Germany, who are the latest in the line of candidates. Emerson Royal looks likely to be heading back to Spain, with a loan to Real Betis being discussed.

Malick Thiaw, who is aiming to restart the summer on a better note, is still in the sights of Como, whilst Newcastle are reportedly interested. Almost certainly heading to Como, though, is Alvaro Morata; his situation should be resolved early next week.

With Al-Hilal out of the Club World Cup, Theo Hernandez’s exit could also be pushed through shortly. The Frenchman did not return to training with his teammates on Friday.
