There have been a lot of reports regarding Kalinic’s potential move to AC Milan. Today, however, Fiorentina’s sporting director Corvino and Milan’s CEO Fassone confirmed that the Croatian striker is not for sale.
Corvino spoke to the press earlier today, where he said that Kalinic is too important for Fiorentina and therefore, he is not for sale.
“I was called by Milan for Kalinic. I told them to think of other strikers, because he’s too important for us and we don’t want him to leave,” Corvino said to reporters.
Just minutes after, Nikola Kalinic himself responded to Corvino’s statement, by thanking Fiorentina for his time there and saying that he wants a move to Milan.
Now, however, AC Milan’s CEO Marco Fassone has put an end to all the reports, as he confirmed to SportItalia that they have moved on.
“I can confirm what Corvino said, we spoke and he told us that negotiations can’t continue. We have moved on to other targets and we respect Fiorentina’s decision. Maybe we’ll speak with them later on.”
