Kalinic set to replace Bacca; AC Milan still after Aubameyang

By Isak Möller -

Yesterday, reports out of Italy confirmed that Nikola Kalinic is very close to leaving Fiorentina for AC Milan, as the only thing missing is an agreement on the payment structure. Today, Italian media has provided us with even more details on the situation.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Carlos Bacca is very close to joining Villarreal. In fact, the difference between demand and offer is only a few million euros. The deal is expected to go through very soon and Bacca has already cleaned out his locker at Milanello.

With that said, Milan will bring in Nikola Kalinic as Bacca’s replacement, meaning that the Rossoneri will not give up on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. In fact, Mirabelli and Fassone will continue to push for Aubameyang and hope to close a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

That would leave Milan with four strikers coming into the season: Andre Silva, Aubameyang, Kalinic and Cutrone (likely to leave on loan if Aubameyang arrives).
