AC Milan are looking to complete several renewals in the months to come, and the Rossoneri may be able to expect some news soon.
Whilst players are on international duty, it gives clubs a chance to evaluate situations, and this is what Milan are doing. Not only are mercato options being assessed, but also the situations of those at the club from a contractual perspective, and ‘concrete moves’ are being made.
As has been stated on several occasions, the Diavolo are focusing on four renewals in particular, and Calciomercato.com have provided an update on those, among others.
Mike Maignan
Starting with the Frenchman, there is a feeling of optimism around the club, and a deal is getting ‘closer and closer’. A four year extension on his contract is to be expected, and his new deal could also have the option of an extra season. Financially, all parties are ironing out the final details, but an agreement should be found at the mark of €6 million per season, including bonuses.
Tijjani Reijnders
Following the goalkeeper is Reijnders. The Dutchman has been fantastic so far this season, and with him being a ‘pillar’ in Paulo Fonseca’s squad, he deserves an improved deal. Once again, a wage increase is expected, and a deal could be finalised around the €3.5m net per season mark, and the club are confident.
Matteo Gabbia
With Gabbia, all that is missing is the official announcement, the report suggests. The renewal is ‘practically a done deal’ and with a new deal until 2029, he will earn more than €2m per season. A fantastic deal for ‘a true irreplaceable’.
Theo Hernandez
All parties want to move forward together, but currently, there is little movement. At present he earns around €4.5m per season and his entourage have requested a renewal with an €8m net salary including bonuses. Right now, the club are ‘reflecting’ on things, and will begin their ‘own evaluation’ within the next few weeks.
Alessandro Florenzi & Davide Calabria
For the full-back duo, any hopes of a new contract are low, and they are not expected to renew. This means that from January they will be free to begin discussing possible moves with any interested clubs.

Simple sell Theo,Florenzi and Calabria othets renew.
Renew everyone apart from Calabria and Florenzi – as much as I love the latter he has a major injury every season and needs to move on.
It’s quite remarkable that Milan have gone from prolonging the careers of 40 year olds to retiring 27 year olds…
And it’s not just Calabria. We’ve broken so many people in their mid-20s.
Who knew modern football would take us backwards in medical terms (and most things).
