Milan have been extremely active on the transfer market. Since the end of the season, already five players have joined the club, with Fassone and Mirabelli strengthening each department. The Rossoneri fans, however, dream of a big name for the midfield. The name could be Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to Gianluca di Marzio from Sky Italia, negotiations to bring the Turkish midfielder to Milan are in its decisive phase. There are continuous contacts between Leverkusen and Milan to try to close the deal.
The prominent Italian journalist added that there is a difference of €1-2 million between offer and demand. The Rossoneri are offering €21 million + bonuses, while the German club want a €25 million (with bonuses included). Milan want to make the decisive step to close the deal tomorrow and formalize the whole operation by Monday.
The Turkish play-maker scored 7 goals and assisted the same amount in 22 games across all competitions for Leverkusen last season. He managed to reach this tally, despite being suspended from playing since February. Calhanoglu has also scored 8 goals in 26 international matches for Turkey.
