AC Milan head coach is braced to lose three players but should welcome four back for the game against Roma next week, a report claims.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) writes that Pioli will soon lose Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessie and Fode Ballo-Tourè to the African Cup of Nations. They will represent Algeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal and will be away for a few games from early January to early February depending on how far each nation makes it.
However, the Milan will have four players available from the beginning of the new year starting with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has disposed of the knee discomfort that had caused him to miss the trip to Empoli.
Davide Calabria should recover and take his right-back spot back, while winger Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao are in the final stages of their respective personalised work so should also be in contention for the game against Roma on 6 January.

It’s actually pretty impressive Milan have been able to retain this many points without Calabria, Leo, and Rebic. Chala’ gonna end up eating those words, and with no pasta sauce neither.
Based on previous experience and our luck, there’s no way we get all these players back for the next match. We might even lose a few until then.
Be optimistic
And believe in God
Forza Milan
