MN: Key quartet will return to Milan training tomorrow after extended vacation

By Isak Möller -

Milan kicked off their pre-season campaign last week with a 6-0 win against Pro Sesto. Yesterday, they followed that up with a 5-0 win against Modena, and now Stefano Pioli will get some more reinforcements.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the players that were granted an extended vacation due to the Euros will return to Milanello tomorrow (Monday). In Milan’s case, the likes of Olivier Giroud, Ante Rebic, Mike Maignan and Simon Kjaer will join the team.

It’s obviously a big boost for Pioli to have these players at his disposal, especially since at least three of them are considered starters. Having faced Serie C teams thus far, the Rossoneri will now take on some tougher opponents.

Nice, Real Madrid, Valencia and Panathinaikos are the four teams they will face ahead of the season opener in late August. And for those games, unlike the two already played, Pioli will have to test some stronger XIs.
