Gianluigi Donnarumma has officially rejected the renewal offer presented by AC Milan, valued at around €5m per year.
After the meeting ended between Marco Fassone and Mino Raiola just a few minute ago, Milan announced Donnarumma’s decision live on Facebook and on their channel MilanTV. Fassone confirmed that Donnarumma’s decision to not renew is definitive, meaning Milan will need to sign a goalkeeper this summer.
“Donnarumma has decided to not renew his contract with us, which was communicated by Mino Raiola during our meeting. The decision by Donnarumma and Raiola is definitive.
“This is, of course, a sad decision, but Milan will go on.”
More updates on where Donnarumma will play next season are expected soon, but the feeling is he won’t be doing it at the San Siro in front of Curva Sud. Real Madrid are interested in Gigio and they could reportedly offer him a salary of €6m per year.
