PSG not in race for Bacca; “don’t have space” claims Emery

By Oliver Fisher -

Unai Emery, the new Paris Saint-Germain coach, has stated there is “no space” in his squad for Carlos Bacca.

French League regulations mean that PSG already have the maximum amount of non-EU players on their books, meaning one of them would have to be offloaded for Bacca to arrive.

“Bacca is a non-EU player and we don’t have space,” Emery explained at a press conference on Thursday.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a Milan exit this summer in order for the Rossoneri to raise funds. West Ham United were reportedly close to securing the player, but the Colombian turned them down.

Now PSG are out of the race, and Barcelona are yet to firm up their interest, so Bacca could easily stay at the San Siro.
