Late night reports from Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio suggest that Milan have decided to go with Montella for the bench next season, as a meeting convinced both parties to make the final call.
Vincenzo Montella, currently the manager for Sampdoria, looks set to replace Cristian Brocchi at the San Siro dugout next season. A meeting with Galliani, Montella and Gancikoff (The Chinese consortium’s right hand) took place between Thursday and Friday last week, which had a positive outcome.
Milan could clinch the deal with Sampdoria tomorrow, as they’ll have to pay Montella’s release clause valued at €1.1m.
