Sky: AC Milan make approach for Santos star Lucas Lima

By SempreMilan -

Milan have reportedly made first contact for 27 year old Lucas Lima, as his contract with Santos expires on 31st December.

The Brazilian international will be available for transfer once the winter transfer window opens in Europe for the month of January. Milan will be looking to add the midfielder to bolster their thin midfield depth.

Manchester United and Barcelona are two of the larger clubs that have previously been linked to the player over the summer transfer window, with Italian clubs Roma and Internazionale having also made enquiries for the Brazilian.

However, only Fenerbahçe and Crystal Palace made concrete offers – both of which were rejected by the player and his agent Luccas Badia.

Now UOL Esporte is reporting that the Rossoneri have made initial contact with Badia, seemingly attracted by the possibility of landing him for free.

For now, Lucas Lima remains an integral part of Santos, with 3 goals in 36 games so far for the Paulista club in the 2017 season.
