AC Milan’s season will begin tomorrow evening at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, as they will face Sampdoria away from home. It will be an important game for them and Stefano Pioli seems to have settled on a starting XI.
According to Sky Italia (see photo below), confirming the reports of Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning, Milan will line up with the 4-2-3-1 formation. They tested a 4-4-2 in their friendly clash but will go back to their roots for this one.
Simon Kjaer is still ahead of Alessio Romagnoli, just like last season, and this means that Davide Calabria will be the captain for the game. Further up the pitch, Ismael Bennacer will be back from start as he’s slowly regaining match rhythm.
In the attacking trio, Rafael Leao is currently ahead of Ante Rebic for the left-wing role, which makes sense since the Portuguese played more during pre-season. Take a look at the full XI below.
