Tuttosport: Seven Milan players stood out in dominant 5-0 win over Modena

By Isak Möller -

Milan took part in their second friendly clash of the pre-season campaign yesterday, beating Modena by a convincing scoreline of 5-0. Once again, Stefano Pioli can’t have many complaints about the performance.

As stated by Tuttosport this morning (via MilanNews), seven players ‘stood out’ in the game yesterday. Starting at the back, Fikayo Tomori always managed to recover with his strength and speed, shutting down the Modena attack completely.

On the left, Theo Hernandez was important in the attacking phase, as you would expect. Ismael Bennacer connected the departments well and look calm on the ball, seemingly getting better and better after the injury struggles which kept him down.

In the attacking trio, Brahim Diaz stood out the most with a goal and an assist, showing that he’s very hungry. Rade Krunic also did well as he was more present than against Pro Sesto, moving around the pitch quite a lot.

Up front, Rafael Leao had a great desire to do well and also had some success in his moves on the pitch. Lorenzo Colombo eventually came on and worked tirelessly to find the back of the net, coming close on a few occasions.
