Chelsea are interested in signing AC Milan star Giacomo Bonaventura, TalkSport reports.
The Italian midfielder can either play in center midfield or winger and would be a good addition to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea squad in terms of quality. The 27-year-old midfielder’s contract runs until 2019 but his agent Mino Raiola is going to meet Adriano Galliani this week in order to begin new contract talks.
Negotiations with Raiola are not easy and the powerful players’ agent has asked AC Milan to triple Bonaventura’s wages.
Given both parties’ struggles to find an agreement, Chelsea could make contact with the player’s agent asking for Bonaventura’s availability. Meantime, the Blues are preparing an opening €23 million offer for the former Atalanta midfielder who has two goals and five assists in 14 appearances so far this season and joined Milan in 2014 for just €7 million.
