Di Marzio: Liverpool target Donnarumma wants to stay at AC Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

There is still a chance that Gianluigi Donnarumma could be an AC Milan player next season, according to the latest reports.

There has been persistent speculation that the teenage sensation could leave San Siro this summer, with Premier League side Liverpool linked with a move, as well as PSG.

However, respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that there has not yet been an offer for Donnarumma which matches Milan’s valuation.

Meanwhile, the player himself has no desire to leave his boyhood club, despite a turbulent relationship with supporters brought on by agent Mino Raiola.

Di Marzio’s report claims that Donnarumma’s only wish is to stay at the club and try to win back the respect of the supporters.

According to Calciomercato, Raiola is desperate to get his client out of the San Siro following their failure once again to qualify for the Champions League.

A clause in Gigio’s contract allows the player to negotiate a move away and it’s suggested it may take a world-record fee for a goalkeeper of €70m (£61.4m) to convince Milan to do business.
