Milan are know to be willing to add another midfielder to the squad of Vincenzo Montella.
Sources suggest that Claudio Marchisio (31), Leonardo Bonucci’s former teammate at Juventus, could also be on his way to AC Milan.
After what seemed like another far fetched transfer story between two bitter rivals, it appears that a deal could somehow be done.
In fact, Il Giornale confirm noises around the possible move. They claim that the parties are not only still in an open dialogue but also that they are not far from closing the deal.
The newspaper claims that voices close to Claudio Marchisio’s family are confirming the talks are underway. This comes even though Juventus’ sporting director Giuseppe Marotta firmly acknowledged the story was built up by the press.
It seems unlikely that Juve will be willing to let another of their leading champions go to their competitors, once again, but it remains very understandable that Marchisio, who has enjoyed a fine preseason is all but happy with his playtime.
Milan have already successfully lured one of Juve’s finest players to the Meazza in the person of Leonardo Bonucci, can they pull another impressive signing away from the Juventus Stadium?
