Milan’s DS Massimiliano Mirabelli, who travelled with the team to Catania, spoke about the mercato after Milan’s 1-2 loss to Real Betis.
On the fans: “The players have to be like idols. Today was yet another day with great enthusiasm and spirit, apart from the result.”
On the transfer market: “If the fans want more gifts? We have already done a lot. Let’s see if we can make another signing before the window closes. We are looking for a striker, but we want to act at the right time. There are different profiles that we are considering.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been heavily linked with AC Milan and Mirabelli said earlier today that Aubameyang is “his destiny”, as his first scouting trip was to France to watch the Gabonese striker.
The known alternatives to Aubamayeng are Diego Costa and Kalinic, but it’s possible that Fassone and Mirabelli are working on names that aren’t known to the media yet.
