Paper Talk: Milan still in race for Aubameyang; Biglia and Bonucci to start vs. Real Betis

By Isak Möller -

Today’s Italian papers suggest that Milan are still in the race for Aubameyang, while Biglia and Bonucci now are ready to play.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport

Yesterday, Milan handed in their squad list for the Europa League playoff round to UEFA. However, the list is not definitive, as Milan are allowed to insert two new players until midnight the day before the first leg. It’s possible that Milan could include a new signing.

Tomorrow evening, Milan will play a friendly against Real Betis, ahead of the EL challenge. Biglia and Bonucci will play from the first minute.

La Repubblica

Milan continue to wait for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the €60m that the Rossoneri so far have offered is not enough, as Dortmund want around €80m. Milan could, therefore, once again turn to Nikola Kalinic, who would cost around €25m. If so, it’s also possible that a midfielder like Renato Sanches could arrive.

Montella still hasn’t fully decided on which formation he will use next season. The arrival of Bonucci suggests that a three-man defence could be used, but Montella remains unsure on this formation.

Corriere Della Sera

Carlos Bacca was excluded from the squad list for the Europa League playoff round due to the transfer market, as he’s set to leave Milan. The Rossoneri have only received loan offers so far, which doesn’t satisfy Fassone and Mirabelli’s demands.

Tuttosport

For the attack, Milan are monitoring Kalinic and Ibrahimovic, but also Diego Costa and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, although negotiations remain complicated.

La Stampa

The most likely options for the attack are Nikola Kalinic and Diego Costa, as Torino don’t want to sell Andrea Belotti.
