Suso is the man of the moment in Milan. His two goals in the derby against Inter on Sunday may not have managed to secure all three points for the Rossoneri, but what they did do, was demonstrate his outstanding quality.
Less than a month ago, came news of interest from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. The German club has apparently had the 23-year-old Spaniard under observation for quite some time and with the January window just around the corner, Milan could see an offer come in their direction.
The player, however, wants a renewal at his current employer; his current deal expires in 2019 and his annual salary is €1 million a season. The number eight is having a great time under the management of Vincenzo Montella and sees his future at the club.
There have been negotiations with the player’s entourage, who are open to an extension of two more years with a salary adjustment to fall into line with some of the top earners at the club. Milan needs to act quickly to avoid a nervous start to 2017.
