AC Milan had an extraordinary 2021/22 season and the players, as well as the fans, are still on cloud nine for having proved the critics wrong. Their success is reflected in Gazzetta Dello Sport’s Team of the Seasons.
As you can see in the photo below, seven Rossoneri players have been included in the newspaper’s Team of the Season for the 2021/22 season. Quite extraordinary, especially since Milan have performed mainly as a collective.
The players in question are Davide Calabria, Olivier Giroud, Theo Hernandez, Mike Maignan, Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali. Do you agree with Gazzetta Dello Sport’s XI as a whole?

Giroud scored some vital goals in the run in but cmon, over a season Immobile or Vlahovic (or maybe even Lautaro) outperformed him. The stats don’t lie.
Also, while I’m pleased for him, surely there was a better RB or RWB than Capitano Calabria?
The other 5 were stars all season and prob deserved their place. Maignan is the strongest GK in the league.

Statistics or not, King David Calabria, Oliver Twist Giroud propelled us to the championship🏆🏆! Vlahovic? Immobile? Lautaro? Please, they couldn’t lift a spoon all season long.
Once again, ACMilan are champions and these guys made it count when it mattered.

Funny, aside from Brozovic all of the non-Milan players are exactly what we need to strengthen the team. So just buy them! SMS for box to box/AMC, Berardi for RW, and Bremer at CB!
I’m a Milan fan but I think this is a sentimental pick…. Tonali wasn’t as good as Barella, he was a beast this past season with over 10 assist and some goals. Perhaps, Tonali was picked for getting the vital goals required to clinch the Scudetto just like Giroud. Forza Milan!!❤🖤
