CM: Seven key Milan players could leave in ‘revolution’; Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona alerted

By Oliver Fisher -

As many as seven of Milan’s first team players currently have their future at the club under threat, according to a report.

The Rossoneri succumbed to another defeat against Roma on Sunday night, their fifth in just nine games this season, leaving the team in 13th place and already seven points adrift of the top four.

Supporters are demanding answers from the management after head coach Marco Giampaolo was sacked and Stefano Pioli has taken just one point out of six to begin his reign.

According to Calciomercato.it, this is an important moment of reflection for Milan as a number of their supposed ‘star players’ continue to underperform.

The report claims that Suso is one of the players who could be moved on amid hashtags on social media protesting about his position in the starting XI.

Fiorentina and Sevilla are credited with interest, while it is mentioned that there are also potential suitors in the Premier League, the same place that midfielder Franck Kessie could also end up amid his poor form.

Meanwhile, the fact that Krzysztof Piatek has started the last two games on the bench has alerted Chelsea and Barcelona, the outlet adds, while Manchester United have also been linked.

The future of full-back Davide Calabria is also in the balance. Andrea Conti was preferred to him in the starting XI against Roma but Calabria eventually came on, getting an assist before gifting Roma their eventual winner. Real Madrid were linked with the 22-year-old last week.

Meanwhile Lucas Paqueta is also mentioned in the report as he has not yet established himself as the difference-maker the Rossoneri need, while PSG continue to be linked with a €60m move for the Brazil international.

Finally, the report throws Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli into the mix. No doubt two of Milan’s best and most consistent performers, but the further away a top four finish looks the more tempted they may be to ask for a move and test themselves at a higher level.
