Donnarumma famously chose to walk away from an AC Milan contract renewal; an offer of 5 Million Euros per season was not enough to convince the 18 year old goal keeper. His agent Mino Raiola has a press conference scheduled to tell all.
Mino’s press conference will be held later today in Monte Carlo and is invite only to a select few journalist (most notably only ones that have said negative things about Milan).
Raiola is expected to blame it on Milan for not giving him a list of the new Chinese ownership and declining him a meeting with Yonghong Li. After being rejected by the club, Mino claims they might have financial difficulties going forward or that Milan may fail to claim Champion’s League and wants a release clause because of this.
The release clause was said to be worth 40 Million Euros which Milan declined. Because of this Raiola will say it was best for his client to walk away.
