Twelve AC Milan players called up for international duty

Twelve AC Milan players have been called up to represent their respective countries in the upcoming international break, the club has confirmed.

Midfielder Ismael Bennacer has been summoned by Algeria for their upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Zambia and Botswana.

Hakan Calhanoglu will feature for Turkey against Iceland and Andorra, while Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli have been called up for Italy’s games against Bosnia and Armenia.

Matteo Gabbia will represent Italy U21s against Iceland and Armenia, while Franck Kessie – dropped from the squad for the defeat to Juventus – has games against Niger and Ethiopia for the Ivory Coast.

Rade Krunic could actually line up for Bosnia against Romagnoli and Donnarumma when they face Italy, and after that they face Liechtenstein.

Rafael Leao will face Norway and Cyprus with Portugal U21s, while Krzysztof Piatek has Israel and Slovenia with Poland.

Ante Rebic has been summoned by Croatia for their European Championship qualifiers against Slovakia and Georgia, while Ricardo Rodriguez will square off against Georgia and Gibraltar with Switzerland.

Finally, Lucas Paqueta is in the Brazil squad for their friendlies against Argentina and South Korea.
